Front Sway Bar

When it came time to pick a front sway bar my original idea was to use an ADDCO bar that I saw in an LMC book.  After I received the bar, I didn't like its quality.  The aftermarket bar matched the diameter of stock bars at 1-1/4 inches.  The major difference which I liked was that it was wider than the original bars.  This gave it a great advantage over stock setups.  However once I installed the bar, it seemed to bind up my suspension.  After some time I decided to go with a stock set up.  The bar and brackets shown are from a '72 C-20 I bought.  The bar is a 1-1/16 inch.  The bar is just on for looks right now.  I'll keep it on the truck until I find a 1-1/4 inch one.  New ones are available at Early Classic Enterprises, but they run around $150 bucks and include brackets and bushings I don't need.  Once I get my 1-1/4 bar I will use urethane bushings with grease fittings on the frame and I'm thinking of trying spherical bearings, or rod ends to attach the bar to the A-arms.  This will give me less friction, zero deflection and a cool racy look.
